I prefer to remove the engine and gear case together. This allows easier realignment and an opportunity to clean things up a little.

This inside view of the Bell Housing shows the clutch dust that will get cleaned up along with the exterior of the gear case.

This shows the Rubber Center Clutch Disc failures. These failure can be abrupt and will leave you stranded within seconds.
